I have often thought about his too. One of my first considerations was: as long as everything is OK, do I have to write anything to local storage? That lead me to the idea that what ever uController could just message something else if there was an issue. We do something similar at work with a linux...
The answer is simple: White list instead of blacklist. Only allow your devices with their fixed MAC addresses. Everything else is blocked regardless if VPN or TOR. There is no easy way around except to steal your credentials...
I would say that "some" Americans express hate for communism, but confuse it with socialism, which is a free lunch in their view. That was put to the ultimate test in 2016 when Russia "helped" Mr. Trump get elected. All of a sudden, Russia was no longer the enemy - at least for a...
As one of the Americans on this site, I am certainly aware of how quickly the wind can "blow in other directions". Fact is, there is no such thing as a "little" democracy. You either have the whole thing or essentially nothing at all. The issue here seems to be how can democracy ...

I would be interested in the Audio Technica cans and the Philips CD player. I am in Germany. Do you have packing material that would get them here in one piece? Please PM me with bank details (and postage/packing) and I will make the transfer.

What would happen if we used the Parafeed cap as part of a crossover? Seems to me that it would be 6dB/8va for free! Would that also not reduce the demands on the choke? With another cap at the input of the amp, we have 12dB for free.
I spent some time with Tidal, bit the sound quality was generally not as good as the Linn programming or similar offerings from Concertzender or NRK. Being an active musician myself, I will normally buy the recordings that I like and do not worry about how someone decoded "compressed" form...
Because intermodulation (sum and difference tones) are very much a part of live music. Two trumpets, a brass section, massed strings, voices, a woodwind section, all cause "serious" intermodulation How? Where is the non linear mixing in the case of live music? Even if you say the ear or m...
Intermodulation is an "interesting" number, but I have serious doubts about its audibility - at least in how it applies to speakers. Why? Because intermodulation (sum and difference tones) are very much a part of live music. Two trumpets, a brass section, massed strings, voices, a woodwind...

Which raises the question why we do not have a couple of bands of parametric equalization on a phono corrector. There are typical "issues" with preemphasis and 3 or 4 channels of frequency/Q/gain could work wonders.
