Paul, thank you - I stand corrected and a little wiser :)
Neal, I apologise if you felt any slight :D . Like most things electrical, it ain't as simple as it might at first appear.
Cheers,
Dave.

For a domestic install this first band is up to 4Kw, go over this and the payments drop. so realistically 16 panels is the most you want to put up to get the largest FiT payment. With all due respect, I'm no expert but I think you're wrong. My FoC install on a totally unshaded south facing roof (ma...

Hi Nick, If we assume the period from 13th/14th September to 1st October, being around the mid point between mid summer and mid winter, is likely to be representative of the yearly average, then my actually achieved figures of over £6 per day would support those figures. Anybody got £12k they don't ...

Just noticed a caveat on the above website, quote " Due to the reduced levels of irradiation, we are currently restricting installation to properties south of Nottingham. Applications from England and Wales are welcome. Soo - looks like I might not qualify  FWIW, mainly to those who at ...

Update: - Result!!

H All, particularly young Chris, Sorry for the delay, life keeps interfering with my listening plans :D . Today I've finally got round to doing a lash up of my speakers and the Mini-Ts where one Mini-T feeds the higher freqs to both speakers and the other Mini-T feeds the lower to both speakers. Fir...

Hi Chris,
My short to medium term objective is to powr the speakers from the Mini-Ts as you suggest. I'll keep you posted but don't hold your breath, my garden currently looks like a tip and SWMBO is on the case!! :( .
Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Guys, Just a brief note of thanks for all the help given with, and interest shown in, my little tweeter problems, particularly Chris (and Dad?). FWIW I think we may have achieved a result. We found a broken very fine wire which Chris then managed to solder. I haven't done another tweeter-only sou...

Hi Guys,
Perhaps a bit late now but I will bring both speakers complete with tweeters for any help available,
AND if Colin fancies another fix of the vapours any time soon he might be interested in quoting me for re-veneering them in a nice grained medium oak :) .
Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Guys, I think I might have found the cause of the problem. I coupled up the Mezzo 2 speakers this afternoon, tweeter connections only, and the sound emitted was much more recognisable as high pitched music and at a reasonable volume, much different from what I got from the 773s with exactly the s...

Hi Mike, Thanks for your further thoughts - couldn't see no attachment though :) . By any chance are you going to Owston on Saturday? I so, I could 'pull' my tweeter from the cabinet and then take a few pics of the PCB thingy just behind it, which I take to be the crossover, and bring them with me. ...

Hi Colin and Mike,
Those look gobsmackingly delicious - speakers and stands - by the time Colin's ready for another shot of vapours I might have saved up enough to have him quote for re-veneering mine  , assuming he's still interested by then :)
Lovely work.
Cheers,
Dave.

Do you have any other speakers you could try, one's with biwirable crossovers ? Hi Chris, Yep, I've still got my Mezzo 2 bookshelf jobbies in the loft. I have the place to myself tomorrow morning so I'll get 'em down and see what they give. BTW I forgot to mention that, because I wasn't very happy ...
