Yeah, i don't think prices vary all that much. That sounds reasonable, but you sometimes get secondhand ones cropping up on Epay.

Thinking about it, i paid over £50 four years ago.

These are worth trying, they sounded different in a crossover but a bit too toppy for me.

But back to back caps were a success.

Thanks Chris and Paul. Some stuff there i hadn't really considered. Don't think that partitioning the cabinet is going to be possible, although i can see the potential problem. The AN drivers have stiff suspension and i've not detected any interference from the bass drivers. I don't really want to t...

Making the best of....

I have a pair of Eltax ported cabinets with two bass/mid drivers and a tweeter in each. I've thrown out the tweeter and the crossover, and installed my Audio Nirvana drivers in their place. Looks a bit strange but it works. The ANs are currently working full range and there is a low pass filter for ...

Well if a brass band sounds good, you must be doing something right.
Very difficult to reproduce IMHO.

That's good Simon.

So lucky to have a man cave. :)

I think it's interesting how easy it can be to get a good sound from baffles, and with a little effort they can be brilliant.

Very kind offers, and thanks for being considerate, but i'll be okay. I can raid my Brother in Laws tools if i need to, and one of the jobs is literally just round the corner. I should be able to borrow some ladders and get them delivered. If i restrict my work to decorating for a while it will make...

Got my van stolen last night, from the Church car park whilst i was helping at our Youth Club. Seems that i must have dropped my keys while unloading someones car. They're always securely clipped onto my belt. But the clip didn't look too good when i inspected it. It's scary to think that a thieving...

I've been using a Windows 8 laptop at a friends recently and am not overly impressed with the user friendliness of it. :( : My daughter hates her new Windows 8 laptop, though she hasn't really had it long enough to get used to it. I told her to try downloading "Classic Shell", which is su...

I missed a couple of Owstons, and I think yesterday was all the more enjoyable because of that. Very good variety of stuff there. Didn't hear anything that was naff. All the "sensible" tube amps sounded good in their own way. Thomas's "not so sensible" multi storey thing, did som...

Does anyone want a pair of Eminence Beta 15 drivers.
One seems to have a slightly distorted chassis, but works fine.
I can bring them if there's any interest.
