That's a coincidence. I played that last night for the first time in over 20 years. Enjoyed it and it prompted me to go on and listen to the Firebird Suite.

At last! Found a clip of Brendan Croker and the Five O'clock Shadows from their golden days, ace voice over crazy mad bass riff, why this wasn't a hit I'll never know. His name came up in a conversation elsewhere and voila...



I remember my fingers hurting so much trying to learn how to play those backing bass part(s).

Yeah, floored me too Steve.

Different set o' Monks did 'Nice Legs....', the B+W Monks in the clip above are were US GI's. A chum at work lent me their one official album, my ears went 'boink' and I started Googlin'.

Did anyone else notice the box on top of the organ has an EM87 indicator valve flashing away?
