I'm not sure that's a fair comparison.....Nelson advises on all the First Watts for a sink that takes the amp 25 degrees above ambient, if biasing around or near the advised area. I'm pretty sure that's because in the DIY arena it's easy to apply the 5 second rule...i.e if you can hold your hand on it for 5 seconds then it's biased safely, no need for fancy thermometers...

Krells on the other hand are commercial and have have fancy things like fans(or some do) and that can put the temperature anywhere.....
