Nearly every Album I have kept close to me has possibly had a Sprinkle of this Mans Magic found within it.
A True pursuer of recording excellence has passed.

He is seen as a legend in some quarters, interesting story.
Does anyone know what was used at Sound Techniques in London. Almost everything that sounded really great in the late 60's and 70's was recorded there by John Wood.

There's a good few articles around, e.g. https://www.soundonsound.com/music-busi ... techniques
Basically, it was homebrew by Frost as it all had to be done on the cheap - the acoustics of the venue was more important.

There is a Radio Programme covering Rupert Neve's life and work in the Link.
I liked very much how it is being told how pro active he was in the Pursuit of understanding how the Recording Industry, and Musicians were working with his Consuls and advancing on the designs through the interfaces he was willing to engage in.
Hence, rightly or wrongly, I like to think he was quite instrumental in the production of extremely successful recorded material.
