I saw that. Amazing how long all of these guys have lived.
What they should have mentioned is that Michael Collins still hold the record for the person who was the greatest distance from another human, in all of history - about 3500 miles.

It is isn't it?

Love that story from a while back where Buzz punched a bloke who tried to get him to admit the landings were faked. :D

Buzz punched the guy (Bart Sibrel) after being chased in the street by a camera crew, harangued and called a liar & a thief. Sibrel is a nutter conspiracy theorist and frankly most people would have punched him too, given the provocation - ISTR that no charges against Aldrin were ever filed.

Wouldn't that be "beaten to TFLA"

The whole point of using an acronym is to save typing out long phrases and explanations...

Using ISTR obviously worked well then, as instead of just 1 acronym replacing 4 words, 77 have been used...

Doh! Make that 78, now it's 81. No, 84! 90 including this sentence...

Possibly, I think it's open to interpretation. IMO is deffo a 3LA though IMO. Just looks right.

I'm sure Michael Collins was a stickler for clear communications.
However I suspect he knew a lot of TLA's that the general public wouldn't understand.

Yep, IMO is a TLA but having an acronym for a four letter acronym that only has three letters is missing the point it seems. I guess it could be two two letter acrimonious (TTLA)

That reads like its when 4 letters dont like one another.

Acrimonious Letters is a good name for an 80s synth pop band that never existed though.
