Nick, I’ve been using the Aurora warm white GU10 5w, 500lm or 380 useful lumens. EN-GU0005/30. They are none dimmable though.

Ta. I have an account at CEF - don't normally use it much but this is the first time they've been cheaper than TLC or Screwfix

For the past month, I haven’t had one instance of rap or hip hop in my Friday “New Music” playlist from Apple Music, just because I play the occasional funk record.
I’m now getting what I want in terms of ECM type euro jazz, Bay Area smooth jazz, classical and the occasional 60s and 70s soul reissue.

The algorithm has finally woken up to the fact that I actually do like soft ass shit.

It's nice when the algorithms get it right. I should probably check out the Spotify equivalent.

In other news, I noticed that one of my tweeters didn't sound as extended into the HF as the other (careful checking with pink noise after Steve S said they could do with more "air" - turned out he was nearer to the one with less treble, so an excellent spot there). Decided to go for an upgrade, to 18Sound NSD1095N, which features a high-tech motor and a titanium nitride diaphragm which is meant to be pistonic out past 20kHz.

The crossover will probably need re-working, but it'll be interesting to hear what the new drivers are like. Plus, that'll be diaphragms acting as pistons from 20Hz to 20kHz. I don't know if that's a particularly good thing, but, hey, why not?

Today I bought a mitre saw with my football gambling winnings.

Powerful motor , sliding action , laser aligned. It cuts fast and true , the 45 degree angles on it are ace .

I may take up plinth making as a paid hobby 😂

I've been watching a few Father Ted clips on YouTube, and it's given me a desire to watch the whole programs again.

So, I've got the Sky box to record from the start of series 1. Watched two so far. :)

You don’t need a Sky box. All 4 is available on any TV/computer with internet streaming. Download the App.

I'm sure it can be done as you say Greg, but I prefer the Sky box and record to the inbuilt hard drive.

The new tweeters arrived, and I found time this afternoon to get them installed. Bit of a write-up here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/thre ... st-6918386

Just had to have the bloody washer to bits.
It got to the spin part of the program and the pump started to remove the water, there was a big bang and all the lights came on. It refused to pump out then went into a sulk. At 9.30pm with the kids school uniforms in it which are needed tomorrow morning for obvious reasons.

Took the filter out which was fine, and shone a torch into the aperture to see if the impeller was blocked which it was.
Couldn't tell what it was but it wouldnt come out through the filter access hole as it was jammed in solid

So i had to get the pump out of the machine to remove it

Much swearing later, it turned out to be half of a broken metal compass (the circle drawing kind). How the hell its got in there i have no idea it must have been in the pocket of someones uniform but nobody is admitting to having a broken compass....

Another hour of my life wasted on mending white goods

Wash your bras by hand!

Today I going to attempt to cut a motor shaped hole in six pieces of wood with a router with one hand .

Here’s hoping the match up .
