I had an ex tax inspector doing book keeping in a job i had 3 or 4 decades ago. He said he was “A pretty damn fine all riund good egg” probably at the IR in those days they sat around watching David Niven films.

Saw this on the tube this afternoon.

Plainly advertisers have no idea at all about the realities of tool ownership...

Made me think though. I can't even remember how many drills I have, but it's certainly *way* more than 2.8

No, but if that’s true, they may have a better idea of the concept of average.

Some of us have red ones as well 8)

(I was looking for the "Smug Git" "baise les Anglais" Europhile emoticon and that was the closest I could get...)

You all realise that after many many years of sitting around #4 or #5 in the list of World Exporting Countries, in the last couple the UK has dropped to about #14. We're also recovering exports far slower than our competitors after Covid...

Thanks Brexiteers!

Panorama could be an interesting watch this week

Some of it beggars belief - financial experts indeed, it all seems a complete fraud to me.

The DC story is almost just a sub-plot to the antics of Greensill, even if it's not illegal it just seems so contrived as to be stupid.

And guess who'll likely end up paying for the mess!

When I changed the CRV diesel fuel filter a while ago, the connecting pipe (to the engine) O ring was not in the filter box, so I left it as was.

Recently, there has been a slight hesitancy on cold start up, and I wondered if the fuel filter was sucking in air past the O ring, there being no signs of fuel leakage.

So, I contacted my regular Honda parts supplier to order one, but it's a non stocked item with a minimum order quantity of 25 @ £5.86 each.

Fortunately, the Honda parts list gives the O ring size as 9.8mm X 2.4mm. I checked on Ebay, and I got a packet of 25 for £3.85 inc postage. I ended up changing the O ring on the engine side of the pipe as well, as a precaution.

I'll have to wait till tomorrow to know if this job has cured the problem.
