#1 Audio Talk, days gone by.
In 2006 my wife died, and I found solace in building my first amplifier.
I'd been a member of the WD forum for a while, then Nick started Audio Talk. The forum members helped me through the pitfalls, and eventually the amp was born, and was taken to my first Egg fest, where I met up with lots of other like minded enthusiasts.
And I've enjoyed the forum, and all the fests I've attended since.
Thumbs up to all those friends I've made.
First amp for those who don't know, or have forgotten.

I remember that amp Phil, my concern as organiser, that no one got electrocuted off it...
I dont think it it was a bad sounding amp, but the standards have gone up since ... we have all learnt from those meets and continue to do,
my personal likes at our get togethers are when folks bring in comercial gear, most times it highlights how far we have come, but then there always a few surprising sounds emergining from kit that i would never guess could sound as good ???

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

I was very impressed with your idea of those 4 black posts so you can work on the chassis underneath without bashing anything on top. That's a good un.

Yep i remember being impressed by that simple design idea.
It was perhaps better when we were new to all this.
I won't forget turning up at my first Eggfest, with a tiny T amp and some full range speakers.
After seeing amplifiers the size of a dining table, I wondered why I had bothered.
But it turned out there was room for everyone at this place.

Much to learn there is.

Well, not the forum, but it's days gone by. And I like:

I looked into the history of Bradford corporation, and they were one of the first with trams, and one of the last to get rid of them.
In fact, Bradford had steam trams early on.
