Simon (the other one) - did you collect your Emminence bass units that I left for you? Thanks for the loan.

Ray
I saw him take them out this morning, so he’s got them.

I'd like to say a thank you to Steve for the kind invitation and to the attending members for their warm welcome and comments. I enjoyed being with you to listen to some interesting sounds. There were some very 'sound' discussions over the weekend and hope to repeat the pleasure in coming years.

Cheers Steve and thanks for bringing along your 13E1 - you can be well proud of it.

Cheers Ray, and to everyone who enjoyed the OTL coupled to the Fanes. Brown envelopes stuffed with cash are on their way
The sound from all the gear was great IMO.

Again thanks to Steve for organising the event and thanks to all the exhibitors for bringing such a fine collection of equipment.
It was great to meet friends old and new.
Now I must finish a D3a phono and pre that have been part built for a few years.

Cheers

Thanks so much for posting link to pics. Hope you can find the time to put text with them please.

I remember when I started in all this (early 70's) that 'Up North' was always wonderful for DIY and so on. Seriously glad it's still alive and well.

Another fab meet-up, mucho kudos to Steve S or organizing, :notworthy: was really great to catch up with everybody again (missed last year), and lotsa groovy sounds and fab gear. The standard of everything was really high (we must be getting good at this) nevertheless I was quite fascinated by the differences. I was last in the 3-tracks go around and I thought cr@p mine's going to sound rubbish after all this lot. But was okay with some help from Colin's concentric speakers.

Left about 2 pm, got in the door about half four, so only 2 and a half hours! Rained a lot of the way, seems it was chasing me.

Yes they are good. The ones I used were just second hand off eBay, not matched or anything and not even from same seller or by same manufacturer.

Thank you Steve for organising a great event. Fantastic to meet everyone and listen to such a wide variety of very good sounding gear. Much food for thought. I had a blast. Thanks Simon for posting the pics which saved me as I didn't take enough to tell the story of the weekend when getting home. I'm sure to be back next year.

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Steve again - a great event, good to catch up with every body, and to meet Izzy Wizzy (Stephen) for the first time.
Had more great audio chats then ever, this time.
Loved Steve's OTL/Fane system - nicely coherent, good tone, and some great tracks.
Liked Ed's 572 amp, as before.
Thomas's OB's were very nice and showed me what I've lost in the lower mids somewhere along the line. Good info there.
Stephens's system was fascinating and had great power.
Thanks to Chriss661 for doing a lot of testing for everyone, demoing some good things and helping me & Stephen get a combo Tannoy/Yuichi system together on Sunday morning.
Beer didn't run out :)

Thanks Steve for organising once again. I think there was more varied and good sounding kit/systems than I can remember. From high end digital sources to great looking turntables, digital/ss/valve amps and a huge selection of differing approaches to speaker design.
TD-125/RB250/MC25FL & 'Snail' phono, NAS/SBT with CS4398 DAC, 41MP pre & MoFo Power, still messing with OBs.
