#1 wires and things

Post by ed »

Remember the wire wars?

there were things like 'slic' or quantum or tellurium or somesuch. There were serious arguments and falling outs on a lot of forums...about which was the best interconnect and/or which was the best speaker cable.

There were companies that appeared/arrived to sell these things at large, or very large prices.

well t'seems things have moved on. First there were facts and figures about network cabling, cat5 or cat6, which, it was argued, made big differences, and now we have discussions about which switches are best for networked audio.

I'm beginning to think that some people are just running out of things to argue about or discuss in hifi.

and then I remembered the Golgafrinchams:

Perhaps we could create a thread where people discuss the merits of different brands of washers for audio equipment? Got to be a market for that. ;)
