Still sounds better than the real thing ed.. I picked the real thing up just over 2 weeks ago, and I'm just getting back to normal. I thought I was being careful too.
Goes to show..

The tube manual is quite like a telephone book. The number of it perfect. It is useful to make it possible to speak with a girl. But we can't see her beautiful face from the telephone number

simon wrote: Sat Nov 13, 2021 3:34 pm Which vaccine did you have this time ed? I had everything you had and more when I had the first AZ. :-(
just goes to show we're all different...

I had AZ first and second times and not a hint of after effects...
this time it was Pfizer

I was going to spout about back in the day when 2 people took exactly the same thing and had completely different experiences. I think not relevanr here but another example of how we might appear to be the same species but inside there are subtle differences.

having given it a bit more thought my example from way back may illustrate how our state of mind or general outlook may influence how our bodies assimilate foreign substances...or maybe not

Your third paragraph is clearly true (just expose a ginger person to sunlight) but that makes it seem that your fourth para is true when it's unlikely to be so. That way lies making it your own fault for being ill. "You were just not positive enough."

Indeed ed, you only have to look at how differently people are affected by Covid for an example of our differences

There are those who would want one to believe that not being positive enough is just cause.

But, in general, being positive seems a good way to be.

Just taken son no1 to have his covid jab, hes had the pfizer one which i think all the kids are getting
We all got it in september. kids were all just abit sniffly, i had flu like symptoms for a few days then one utterly horrendous day, then it buggered off. Emma just got the flu like symptoms. She was worse than the kids, but didnt have any godawful days
With the vaccines i didnt really have any ill effects, just tiredness
I have however noticed that i am more easily tired than i was before i got covid

AZ 1 knocked me about for a few days, AZ 2 nothing. Pfizer 1 6/7 months later was not pleasant for 2 days, Pfizer 2 3 wks later nothing.

NZ govt and employers are mandating vaccination for many jobs. I'm stunned a few health professionals and teachers would rather lose their job on ethical grounds than get jabbed.
