That's what makes it look (to me) more like a hotrod.
A less obvious stance and less "showy" wheels would change my opinion.

Preserve at all costs if a museum piece or a show car IMHO, however there are some practicalities of even using a classic occasionally...IE an electric fuel pump to prime the carb if the car has sat for a long time, ethanol rated fuel hoses, electronic ignition to help starting and reliability etc. and in some cases it’s just not practical to keep everything original as many parts are simply no longer available and have to be substituted for something that is IE original seatbelts...
Agreed.
Retaining plenty of examples of our automotive history will be come even more important once we are forced to drive an electric clone on our way to having no private transport at all.
