I didn't realise Dave, I thought Hawkwind were one-hit wonders from way back when...

Thinks about what to play at Owston...

Some might wish that we're so Ray!

Some Genesis should be just up DtB's street...
On a serious note for a moment, is 'Walk on the Wild Side' gonna be a test track this time around? If so it would be good if someone could post a FLAC copy on dropbox or similar - I am planning to bring my DSD system along to Owston and if I can get the track I can load it into HQ Player's library so I can play it back as a DSD256 resample.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

What to play at Owston? The perennial struggle.
In my case, a better question would be:
What should I NOT play at Owston under any circumstances?
A) because it will only show what's wrong with the system rather than what it does well.
B) because it is just a load of crap and shouldn't be allowed out of the house.

More positive thinking needed Grasshopper.

Maybe, but I only have 1.5W of 45s
So it's probably going to be girl and guitar or plinky plonk jazz trios.
Or I could say the hell with it and play the Claptone remix of Gregory Porter's Liquid Spirit, followed by Scramble, from System 7, then A Kind of Latin Rhythm by The Juju Orchestra. That should be loads of fun, in the same mould as 20th Century Schizoid man on Thomas' Tower of 2W Power from a few years ago.

You know Ray, for the first time, I may just do that.
I'm not a rocker, or a fan of sonic spectaculars. I'm more of an easy listening kind of person, so what I like will be the best way to go about things.
