In case anyone's interested I've just seen that Kate Rusby is doing a live concert stream of her recent Hand Me Down album tonight starting at 7.30. Don't know how much it is as you need to register first but it looks like there's 2 options - the live show tonight and then a pass to rewatch over the next few weeks.

Hand Me Down is an album of covers rather than folk songs, songs by such as Bob Marley, The Bangles, and Taylor Swift. And it's a cracking pressing on double vinyl ;-). Anyway after a year of lockdown we might watch tonight for a change - won't need to consider where to park the car and the refreshments will be cheaper!

All her recordings seem to be pretty decent. Might give the vinyl a try, thanks for the heads up Simon.

Agree with Ali all the recordings I have of hers are well recorded. I'm awaiting delivery of my vinyl copy this recording.
Lynn and I have also got tickets for the 'Under The Stars Festival 2021'. Great family festival. We are intending taking our 3 year old granddaughter who goes for free. Tickets carried over from last years cancelled event. We are just hoping it will still go ahead this year and the weather is good as we have camping pass for the weekend.

TBH I only bought it because first Tom Robinson recommended the album on his 6 Music show, and second cos it was on vinyl and I didn't have any of her music on vinyl. It's double vinyl, 3 tracks per side so lots of space to cut that groove!

Hope you enjoyed Ray. It's a good while since I've seen her live, each time somewhere around our home, South Yorkshire. The first time was over 20 years ago in the small school gym at Mexborough Comp, just Kate and her younger brother doing the sound. One of the teachers was a folkie and arranged it for some of the kids. An interesting evening.

Didn't get to watch last evening Simon but will aim to do so during the coming week.

We've seen her live quite a few times now, always a good time, and. of course, have quite a few of her recordings, which, as has ben said above, sound good. I was going to get the new album today but it's not available as even a CD quality download, just MP3, so I'll have to get the CD.

Thanks Colin but that'll just leave the small issue of not owning a means to play it - digital only for me nowadays.
