Hi gents, just thinking out loud with my thoughts regarding our next meet up
I was going to give this year a miss, and allow a little time for us to get back to normal, assuming all goes to plan, and we are on track

I'm attending the wam show in October, it will be interesting to see how that goes, it also will be a good measure to see if confidence is returning.

I was thinking of June 2022, unfortunately I have a holiday booked in May 22, otherwise that would have been my choice, I will be contacting owston in the next week or two, but what is everyone's thoughts, am I being too cautious?

I would also like to get the measure of what you all think, so please share your views.

Just looked that up Ali 22nd to 26th
Was thinking before then probably the 8th or 15th providing those dates are available

Well.... That gives me another year to actually finish something decent!

Just tried contacting the owston, only to find that it's closed down.

If any of the Doncaster contingent can keep an eye out for reopening please.

I'm sure it will reopening over the course of the summer, so I'm not panicking or looking for another venue at the moment.
But of course if anyone knows a good venue please let me know..

They've got a Facebook page, last message says 'closed our doors' dated 19 October 2020, hoping another operator will be able to take over.

'Unfortunately operating under the current trading conditions has forced this decision'

Can't say I'm surprised. It's a large place that no doubt costs a lot to run, and hasn't seemed that busy the last few times we've been. That seems to be the story of the pub trade this last few years.
