Well I'd have liked to have come. Sounds a good meet.
But I'd like to throw onto the ring a track to test systems....
Peter Gabriel is often dark but I'd recommend a listen to 'Up'.
Track 6 Barry Williams Show. 1 minute and six seconds in there is a bass percussive drop out note of total despair that.....
I've listened to this track on many systems. Some systems can capture the awfulness of the attack transient, some miss it entirely and some make a mushy attempt which, I suppose, is acceptable.
But when you turn things up, dead loud, the floor can open up and you will fall straight to Hell if your system can cope. It may give you some measure of satisfaction that your system did indeed hit the spot a few seconds before you meet the Lord of the Flies. Then nothing really matters.
