Mike H is in the room next door, and we are starting to wander down to the pub about 5:30

He rang me but I was in the bath. :)

Only 6 of us for the talking bollocks seminar tonight, but we managed a good selection of subjects, including Nick's track days in the Porsche.

David seemed rather bored with most of the "petrol head" conversations, but I'm sure he'll be more interested in the morning once the kit is assembled and some music played.

Doubt it :-)

Some snow has dropped here. Not enough for serious concern, but if anyone has reports of the roads between Chesterfield and Owston, it'd be much appreciated.

For now, I'm going to start loading the car and will be with you all in a couple of hours. Ish.

I got my system unloaded and assembled, but on my trial run the Denon DVD player I brought with me failed to play any discs.

Anyway, by the time things got going it came back to life, so all was well.

My theory (not the Ann Elk one) is that perhaps the player had a dew sensor, like VHS videos had eons ago, and bringing it inside from a night in a near freezing car to a warmish room had caused the sensor to do it's job.
