Thanks for that Phil.
Knew nothing about them until you posted that video.

This one is great and the accident at the beginning is like something out of Laurel & Hardy.

I was just reviewing some Pentangle LPs, and landed on this, which must be one of their very best. I know Ed ( Baker ) holds this one in very high esteem.

Yes, I think it is their best album which in its day, woke up the music listener to folk and folk rock music, helped by the BBC using some of it for TV theme music. Very well recorded album as well.

Saw them in Cardiff in 2008, their last tour. Sadly, Jacque McShee’s voice no longer had its airy peaks and Bert Jansch struggled to get down on the floor to play his Sitar. None the less, a great and enjoyable concert.

That’d be “Take Three Girls,” which used ‘Light Flight’ as its theme tune.

Diana Ross at Glastonbury. Sounds like your granny doing a karaoke, but nevertheless totally joyous. Woooo hoooo! Dig those security guys busting their moves.

#1 son was there. I listened to it live but had to check my hearing as she was totally flat all the time - the backing singers masked that a bit, but not enough!

Finally managed to catch up with McCartney on iPlayer.

Ok, so maybe the voice isn’t what it was, but so what? It’s Paul bloody McCartney! I’m 70, and he’s up on stage singing my childhood.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

It's a good step towards the real thing !

Meanwhile..
I discovered this guy only the other day, after finding a record in just an inner sleeve, upstairs in a stack of classical LP's from an old family home in Stockport. Been awaiting checking and sorting for years.
The album sounds superb but needed a clean ( just been doing this ).
He is superb. He was mainly a flamenco player, and went to Spain in the 60's when he was young, and studied with the flamenco greats and was eventually accepted as an equal. He was good friends with Paco Pena. John Williams apparently rated him as one of the greatest UK guitarists.

Has anyone else ( Chris ? ) come across him ?

Listening to one of my favourite Welsh bands - Lone Star “Firing on all Six”. Not sure if the tweaking of the tonearm at the weekend, with my “Wally Reference” clone has made a difference, but I didn’t realise how well the LP is recorded and mixed. I suppose mid 1970’s was the pinnacle of LP mastering.
