What was all that then, I thought my house was falling down, I nearly pooed myself!!! If that what TL's do the project is on hold. Actually too late as I just ordered the kit from IPL.
Incidentally if anyone is doing similar Jewsons do a really nice real oak veneered MDF and they will cut it up according to plans to an accuracy of a MM for a very modest charge. the board was only £45. Real walnut veneer was about £85 - not bad really.

A visit is long overdue Si

Which kit did you choose? :?

I say that cautiously,TL's are a bit of a black art.

You can't relate size of bass driver to the size of your room like most 'conventional' speakers, unless you want to sit at the bottom of your garden to listen

I remember a tale about a pair of S5TL's being sold by Ian (Theakestone),the new owner loved them, but apparently his cat didn't,the bass blew it away

Yes indeed, I can confirm that plugging an amplifier in to the correct mains outlet almost always helps with sound reporoduction.

OTOH,

TLs almost never help with accurate and pleasing sound reproduction.

If they kill cats though, I might be tempted to buy a pair for the garden.

And what does 'LOL' mean?

LOL= 'Lowther-On-Lowther'..... I believe. Used to describe the process by which mummy speaker and daddy speaker make little baby speakers. Well, thats what one of the boys a school said.

It might also mean 'lots of laffs' or 'laughing out loud'.

Hi Martin, I went for the S3TLM Kevlars in the end, for 220 squid for the plus kit and 45 squid for the wood I dont think I can go too far wrong. Musically I already know they will be an improvement on the things I had!!

I have all my fave CD's in my work bag (questions keep being asked) but never manage to get beyond the house at the end of your street!!!!!!! And Hayley (my work wife) said to tell you she is not my bloody secretary!!!

So TL's are good for upsetting small animals, do you think they will give my neighbours cockerell a run for his money - I hope so!
