Which Amp is the one for me????
#1 Which Amp is the one for me????
OK, here's a question to get you fighting amongst yourselves
Which Valve amp in your opinion, is the best & why?
I'm looking for the Richest, Warmest, Biggest & most detailed sound I can get.
Which Valves, in which configuration will give me what I'm looking for?
Thanks in advance.
Ian

Completely impossible to give an answer to that one.
The world of valve amps is just as diverse as the world of solid state amplification.
Depends on the speakers you are using, their sensitivity, what type of music you like.

If you really want to join a(ny) group, it really isn't a good idea to start with '...fighting amongst yourselves'. This is rude, patronising and clumsy.
We are not as childish or foolish as the company, presumably, that you usually keep.
If you were to tell us about what music you like, what equipment you already have and enjoy and what you do not like, there are many here who would answer you in a real spirit of friendship.
We may not agree but we don't fight.

Hm, okay Darren, I should have chosen here to just speak for myself. I hope we are all enjoying things as they go along.
I'm all for the 'child within' and all, just not the bully on the corner and this chap comes across, possibly as either clumsy and insecure or just downright rude.
IMHO

Yes Philip, I could be wrong couldn't I. I don't mind that. But I don't like fighting talk - what possible good can that be, so, if I overacted, I overacted.
Again, let's see shall we. (and I don't really know what you mean by dragging Greg into this. He hasn't posted and is well capable of doing so.)

Hi-i have decided that i WANT to see the best of people from now on,and to this end i try to find ways NOT to be offended when i see things in print that MIGHT have been written in haste,or with no intention to offend.
The reference to Greg was tongue in cheek and i hope he sees it in that form.
Peace and goodwill to ALL.

I am not taking it any way at all, but I mean what I say, go away of you want that sort of entertainment. We are not toys or a spectacle we dont feel we need to justify our position, or put on a show about it.

Hmmm
A question like "what amp is best and why" come to think of it is no question at all. Is it a piss take or what? I feel a bit daft for biting now, and a teensy weensy bit pissed off too.
My troll spotting radar has got a bit rusty by the looks of it
