#1 Chassis Prices from THL Audio in Taiwan

Post by Toppsy »

Thought I'd start a new thread as the chassis issue came up on another unrelated thread.

I have now got some prices back from them. Prices in Taiwanese New Dollars (NT$)

The prices are for the various options for the PRAL-43339L all aluminium pre-amp chassis is Black anodised finish.

Option (rca9), NT$6200/set with parts as stated. - £97.07UK
Option (pwr3), NT$5700/set - £89.22UK
Option (xlr19), NT$6800/set - £106.44UK
Option (Flat, no hole), NT$5400/pc - £84.52UK

Shipping weight is about 8kgs, by EMS cost about NT$2560 - £40UK

Add 3% for Card transactions.

for those that missed the thread the link to the web site is: http://www.thlaudio.com/casebpwrE.htm

If there was enough interest I could put a bulk order together so we may get a reduction in price for ordering morew than one.

Do you think you could find out what a pair of PWRAL-3 would cost please?

I saw him outside Lasky's the other day loading a Saisho Midi system with graphic equalizer and LED spectrum analyser into his boot the other day, but worst of all a CD fell out of the bag, "Celine Dion sings Bryan Adams Greatest Power-ballard's" ...I think thats what is was called.

He's changed  :D

Tut! tut! wouldn't like to think that any hardened DIYer from here would contemplate to buy commercial off the shelf gear. If you know what I mean

Yeah but can you tell me a quicker and cheaper way of getting a TVC all ready wired. It is going in an altogether new pre-amp, which will look big, bulky and pretty crappy but will sound transcendentally wonderful :-)

I couldn't possibly just buy and use something 'off the shelf' could I. :D

I read Promiteus as Prosthetic for some reason and it got me thinking...

This "www.prosthetic-audio.co.uk" malarky..... Does it add summink on if it's missing? Like, y'know if you haven't got any treble... they'd make some and add it on to your system?

Arf!

Hi Colin,

I have a friend who has dealt with THL several times previously with very good results. They are expensive though! Here's a few other companies worth considering.

Best wishes,

Hi Colin,

These look very good. I'd certainly consider one for the pre.
Let me know if this becomes a serious order.
