If the machine made all that wind why didn't they just turn it off before it blew up?

Was it the finals of the Olympic wind making machines or summat :)

I just don't understand some folk.

Actually I'm not convinced about how that turbine broke up. There is something not quite right about it which to me suggests some other interference. What do you think?

I suspect it was actually being tested to destruction. The filming is too good for it to be a lucky shot of an accident. Dramatic, though...

I think it's a strange coincidence that someone happened to be filming, just as it apparently self destructed.
Nothing so dramatic ever occurs when i do a video.
Maybe i'm unlucky.

aren't they supposed to stop turning so that doesn't happen if the wind gets above a certain speed ?

Oooooooo, it's the wind making them turn, not the other way round :o

We've got a legion of them out in the Estuary not too far from me, I've always assumed they make the wind...
