It was on the front page of the BBC's sport section a couple of days ago.

I was aware of the planned attempt through my British Cycling membership.

It was - in the pictures from the 70's and 80's, but apparently it's been dry for several years, lately. They reckon this one is going to be wet, though.

Haverhill will host the AJ Bell Women’s Tour stage six start on Saturday 9 October, and the race will pass through Stoke by Clare which is just down the lane from me.
I could be tempted to go and watch them pass through.

I went into Clare tonight (to see a trombone quartet) and they have got yellow warning signs up in the villages about not parking in coned off areas due to the cycle race next Saturday.

Did you get along to see the Women's ToB Phil?
In other news, I think it rained in France today

It rained here too but I still managed to get a 26mile ride in with just a few showers along the way.
Yesterday, with the persistent heavy rain I had to resort to my first garage ride of the 'winter'.
Anyway, September was another good month:

I'm not a time traveller Ray.
According to the web site it's on 9th October.

Just watched the Paris Roubaix highlights on Quest ( thanks ! )
Bit of a classic race, first wet race for 20 years, apparently. Lets hope Colbrelli is clean...
