No problem with obtaining the user manual from the Tektronix site so a little bed time reading...

Forgive me if you already know this and about oscilloscope techniques in general, but if not a read of an older (pre-digital) copy of the "XYZ of oscilloscopes" is a good plan.
The latest is at

A 1993 one is here which is probably more appropriate for your scope (the 2225 is from 1990 - a lot of the analogue stuff was cut in later editions)
